يحتوي هذا اللوح على نقوش مسمارية وخريطة فريدة من نوعها للعالم وبلاد ما بين النهرين. بابل رسمت في المركز(على شكل مستطيل في النصف العلوي من الدائرة)، وتظهر تسمية بلاد آشور وعيلام وغيرها من الأماكن أيضا. وتحاصر المركز حلقة من ممر مائي دائري اطلق عليه البحر المالح. ويحيط بالحافة الخارجية للبحر ثمانية مناطق، على شكل مثلث، و كلا منها سميت بمنطقة أو جزيرة مع ذكر المسافة،. يصف النص المسماري هذه المناطق، ويبدو أن الوحوش الغريبة والأسطورية، وكذلك الأبطال كبيرة عاشوا هناك، على الرغم من أن النص لا يزال بعيدا عن الاكتمال. العصر البابلي، 700-500 قبل الميلاد، ربما من سيبار، بلاد ما بين النهرين، العراق. ألبومي يحتوي على 12 صورة عن قرب لهذا اللوح من جوانب مختلفة، المتحف البريطاني, لندن . عاشت بلاد وادي الرافدين. بعدستي 29 يناير 2014 .

This tablet contains both a cuneiform inscription and a unique map of the Mesopotamian world. Babylon is shown in the center (the rectangle in the top half of the circle), and Assyria, Elam and other places are also named. The central area is ringed by a circular waterway labelled 'Salt-Sea'. The outer rim of the sea is surrounded by what were probably originally eight regions, each indicated by a triangle, labelled 'Region' or 'Island', and marked with the distance in between. The cuneiform text describes these regions, and it seems that strange and mythical beasts as well as great heroes lived there, although the text is far from complete. Babylonian, about 700-500 BC, probably from Sippar, Mesopotamia, Iraq. My album contains 12 close-up images of the tablet from different aspects, thanks to my Nikon D90 camera.
